PREVENT THE SWINE FLU and other bugs

October 10th, 2009

It is 7 degrees this morning as I write this blog post. I am trying to imagine the feeling when I step outside….frozen snot and frozen eyeballs as I feed my horses their hay for the day. What this dropping temperature also means is that people stay indoors more…more people at the mall, more people at home, more germs in every space.

I get alot of questions about preventing illness in the Winter months. I guess I will reveal all of my secrets to you all. Remember the purpose is not only to prevent bugs, but to shorten illness duration if you do get sick.

Here is the IMMUNE boosting list:

1. Wash hands like you have OCD…even my kids are into it.

2. Vitamin D3–5000 iu/day for adults and 1000 iu for kids (look in my store)

3. Mushroom blends

4. Lactoferrin

5. Astragalus–good for kids too (do tincture form–1 tsp twice per day)

6. Vitamin C–3000-6000mg/day (try a powder form)

7. Eat well….no sugar.

8. Drink lots of water or tea.

9. Consider homeopathic vaccinations…I DO NOT recommend vaccines for flu for most people (few exceptions).

Hope that list helps…hope you all don’t get the piggy flu but if you do you WILL survive and be immune!
