Green is the new sexy black... I love that going green is so mainstream now. With so many companies offering organic lines of food, clothing and makeup it has made going green more affordable for me. I wish money wasn't an issue but it is in my life..for now. When I first started making green smoothies, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to afford to keep up with my new addiction..But, I have found that as I have added green smoothies to my daily diet, I am spending less on the processed quick foods that fill me up for the moment. Also, I have taken advantage of our awesome local farmer's market where I buy beautiful organic kale, chard and beet greens for alot less than the stores. So for the summer I am blissfully supporting local farmers and enjoying the fruits of their labors. Here is my favorite green smoothie recipe for you to try...hope you like!! PS. Add the ingrediants in the order I listed, seems to blend up the easiest with no jams.

3-4 leaves of kale (usually fills around half the vitamixer)
2 medium peaches or nectarines - take the pits out and cut in quarters
1-2 Tbsp. of agave nectar..or adjust to your liking..
1 + 1/2 cups water. I like 1 cup of water for a thicker smoothie, try 1 1/2 cups if you like it thinner.

Quickly increase speed from variable to high and blend for 1 minute. Pour over ice and enjoy. This will make enough for you to have 2 large glasses of yummy greens..

HOPE YOU ENJOY... ALISHA proud sexy green bitch =)
